A new Tekken 8 trailer was released online featuring a new-look of a fan-favorite character who has been missing from the roster of the main entries in the series since the second game and is finally making her return 27 years later in Bandai Namco’s latest entry in the Tekken series.
The new Tekken 8 trailer features the much-anticipated return of Jun Kazama, mother of Jin Kazama who was playable only in Tekken 2. She was once believed to have been killed by Ogre before the events of Tekken 7, but she’s back in Tekken 8 after not being playable for a long time.
Jun Kazama is only one of the returning characters confirmed so far for the roster of Tekken 8. So far, Kazuya Mishima, Lars Alexandersson and King have been showcased with Jun joining them.
Tekken 8 is also confirmed to have a new mechanic called the Heat System and Bandai Namco provided some information on it. The Heat System will allow players to enter a powered-up state for a short amount of time during which, it’ll be possible to deal huge amounts of damage and perform special moves which are not available otherwise.
Tekken 8 is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There’s no confirmed release date for the game as of now but the new character reveals, trailers and more information from Bandai Namco should keep players’ thirst quenched for a while.
