Tekken 8 has been around the corner with updates regarding the roster and the fan-favorite characters making a comeback.
Canadian video game journalist and television presenter Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Tekken 8 will be one of the games to appear at Gamescom 2023’s Opening Night Live on August 22nd, 2023.

Keighley also shared a trailer featuring the ONL games, stating that the broadcast will be two hours long and show what is coming up in the world of video games next.
Earlier, two characters from Tekken 8 were announced during the EVO Fighting Game tournament. One was Raven, debuting in Tekken 5, and the other was the debut of Azucena, who is of Peruvian origin.
Recently, it was revealed via @Alumia_Italia on Twitter that they spotted a backend update made in Microsoft Store directly, suggesting that Tekken 8 is slated for release on January 26th, 2024.
This comes after an eight-year hiatus since the release of Tekken 7, despite steep competition from other fan-favorite fighting games like Street Fighter 6, which was released earlier in the summer, and Mortal Kombat 1, set for a release soon.
One exciting feature is the new Heat System and all the moves born from implementing the “Heat System.” Other changes include a revised Rage system, Guard Damage, and other improvements that impact the game’s overall feel.
These changes set Tekken Eight apart from its predecessors. Fans are excited for the Gamescom Opening Night Live, where they will hopefully get more information about the much-anticipated Tekken 8.
