Ten-Year Run of “Teasing Master Takagi-san” Manga to Conclude in October

Sometimes some shows are purely made for fun, with no meaning or intention behind them. They are not preachy, nor do they have a mystery element. They are simply made for fun, and “Teasing Master Takagi-san” is one such anime.

The anime debuted in 2018 and quickly gained popularity owing to its simple yet entertaining storyline. Nishitaka and Takagi are two contrasting characters that shine by bouncing off each other’s energy.

Unfortunately, this manga series is ending, and here are the details.

The September issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine announced that Sōichirō Yamamoto’s Teasing Master Takagi-san manga will end with the November issue on October 12.

With this, the main manga series will finally end after ten years. However, the status of the spin-off manga series cannot be confirmed for now. Fans are relieved they can see Nishitaka and Takagi in the spinoff series.

Several fans were very disappointed to learn that the manga is set to end. Yamamoto is known for creating simple and heartwarming romance stories. Fans are hoping for a new series from the mangaka after the end of this series.

Many other fans were glad that Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san would end, as they could see no actual development in the story. They believed that it was inevitable.

While there are multiple differences in opinion regarding the end of the manga, we can all agree on the quality of this series. It was a great romance series with a great twist in storytelling. No matter what, we will all miss the teasing between the main characters.

Teasing Master Takagi-san is a manga series written and illustrated by Sōichirō Yamamoto. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’ Monthly Shōnen Sunday Mini and then in Monthly Shōnen Sunday since 2013.

The series follows the daily life of Takagi, who loves to tease her classmate Nishikata, and Nishikata’s failed attempts to get back at her. Each time Nishikata fails he vows to come up with new plans but Takagi often identifies his weakness and capitalizes on them.
