Episode 3 Recap
This episode starts with Takagi and Nishikata talking about the weather being hotter than usual at school. Nishikata, trying to be smart, takes a fan from his bag and starts to fan himself. He cunningly looks at Takagi and knows she will be jealous.
Since Nishikata isn’t willing to fan Takagi, she sets a game. The one who can move the eraser further with the fan gets to be fanned by the loser. Nishikata having the thought of Takagi fanning him accepts the game.
He budges the rubber slightly, but Takagi takes the fan and smartly pushes the eraser with the fan. Nishikata feels stupid when he realizes Takagi didn’t mention a specific way to move the eraser. As part of the deal, Nishikata fans Takagi.
Takagi stands close to Nishikata’s shoulder, making him blush as he fans. In the next part, Takagi overhears how Nishikata likes a character from a sports manga. Later, when Nishikata reads the manga, he finds a ping pong ball and strike’s a pose from the manga, only to find himself caught by Takagi as he enacts the pose.
Nishikata requests Takagi not to tell anyone what she saw, but Takagi states otherwise. Takagi says that if Nishikata strikes her out in a baseball game, she will shut her mouth.
Nishikata’s confidence went well until Takagi hit a home run. Since Takagi knows Nishikata wants her to keep quiet on what she saw, she tells him to lend the manga he reads.
Nishikata wonders if she like sports manga, but Takagi says it’s okay as she wants to know everything he likes.
It starts raining unexpectedly at the end of school. Nishikata runs to the lost and found section to get an umbrella, and luckily there’s one. Later as he walks home to watch a special series, Nishikata wonders if Takagi brought an umbrella.
Nishikata becomes skeptical when he thinks about Takagi not having an umbrella. As he fusses about checking on Takagi or watching the special episode, the scene shows Takagi still in school. Nishikata finds Takagi in the classroom and asks if she didn’t bring an umbrella.
Knowing that she didn’t, Nishikata offers to go together. Takagi smiles, realizing that Nishikata wants to share his umbrella. Takagi teases Nishikata, saying he wants to get cozy under the umbrella but appreciates him for his kind offer.
