Stories centering around the workplace may not be everyone’s cup of tea. They can be easily looked at as dull and the last thing to watch to unwind. But they can be quite relatable if the characters are well-developed.
Saiso’s Story of a Small Senior in My Company is a workplace rom-com that would be adapted for television. The anime was announced in October of last year but more details have finally arrived.
On Friday, the official website for the anime series released a teaser with a visual, which revealed that the anime will premiere in July 2023. It also revealed the two main cast members and the staff.
Being a teaser, it is just a minute long. It does show the two main characters Shiori and Takuma. The video shows many traits of Shiori’s personality – friendly, cheerful, funny, and caring. A bit later, it also reveals how short she is. Takuma can be seen blushing and flustered when she is nearby.

Workplace stories may have been around for a while. But the currently ongoing The Ice Guy and His Cool Colleague and Aggretsuko have brought this category to notice. Giving these a try would allow building a better opinion about this sub-genre.
About Story of a Small Senior in My Company
Story of a Small Senior in My Company (Uchi no Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi) is a romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Saisō. It began serialization in Takeshobo’s Storia Dash website in April 2020 and is collected into six volumes as of 2023.
The story follows a new employee, Takuma Shinozaki, and his overly caring and small-sized senpai, Shiori Katase. Despite Shiori caring for all her subordinates equally, she gives special attention to Takuma which often exposes her feelings towards him.
