Is Tanjiro a Demon? New Demon King In Demon Slayer : Kimetsu no Yaiba

Tanjiro’s journey to cure his sister after Muzan converted her into a demon made him join paths alongside the Demon Slayer Corps.

After long and persistent efforts from everyone involved, Muzan was finally defeated in chapter 200 of the series, titled “Millenia Dawn”.

With Nezuko cured, and Muzan dead, it seemed as if the Demon Slayers could rest easy now. However, chapter 201 raw scans came out recently, giving a big shock to everyone.

Demon Slayer chapter 201 will make Tanjiro into the new Demon King!, as Muzan transfers his consciousness to Tanjiro. With all the fighters in the Demon Slayer Corps exhausted and on the brink of death, this is a very tough situation to handle.

In the last chapter, when Muzan engulfed Tanjiro into his body, he saw the potential Tanjiro held in his hands. Muzan, therefore, transferred his consciousness into Tanjiro so that he may live on in Tanjiro’s now dead body. The chapter comes as a surprise to not just the readers but also the characters in Demon Slayer.

When everyone surrounded Tanjiro’s dead body, Muzan’s consciousness kicked in, bringing it back to life as a demon. Tanjiro instantly starts attacking everyone around him. People try to restrain him, hoping to themselves that Tanjiro doesn’t end his life as a demon.

Inosuke remembers the conversation he had with Tanjiro and Zenitsu about strong steps that need to be taken for the end of the demons once and for all.

He makes up his mind and is about to slash off Tanjiro’s head, but at the last moment, he stops his blade as he does not have the heart to do it. This is where the chapter ends.

Tanjiro may calm down once he sees Nezuko back as a human. More details will be released in the next chapter.
