Long time talk show host Larry King has been hospitalized with COVID-19 in Los Angeles. According to some sources close to the 87-year-old presenter, he has been admitted at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for over a week now. He is undergoing treatment but his current condition is unclear as King’s representatives have declined to comment.
“Larry has fought so many health issues in the last few years and he is fighting this one hard too, he’s a champ,” a source has revealed to new agencies.
Larry King is one of the oldest and most experienced members of the broadcasting industry. He hosted Larry King Live for twenty seasons, from 1985 to 2010. In the show, he interviewed eminent artists, businesspeople and politicians.
In 2013, he returned with the talk show Larry King Now, which aired on Ora TV, a company he founded with Mexican mogul Carlos Slim. The eighth season of the show debuted in January 2020.
He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017 and had it surgically removed. In 2019, he underwent another heart surgery.
Apart from his health, King suffered personal losses in 2020, when his children Andy and Chaia died of a heart attack and lung cancer.
