Granart has offered to lose the battle on purpose so Satou can marry her. Especially since the Maidens of the Rings are supposed to serve the Ring King, Granart must eventually marry him anyway. However, Satou wants to court her through a duel like everyone else.

The Land of Fire is a huge moving marketplace with rare books and items. Nefritis and Hime accidentally get separated from the group. Multiple suitors are already trying to court the Princess, and Satou must try, too. Nefritis and Hime reached the arena and got food while waiting for Satou.
The Land of Fire’s Princess notices Satou’s rings and asks if he’s strong. Satou gets knocked out in a single hit by the Princess as she walks away. Satou starts training his swordsmanship to try to get stronger. Granart is known to be the strongest warrior in Needakitta, and Satou starts losing hope.
Hime’s grandpa suggests that Satou learn to use the power of the rings in the fight. Satou relaxes with Marse in a steam room and also gets a massage from a man. Granart enters the room after Satou’s massage and asks him to give her one too. Satou realizes Granart’s muscles are much stronger than his; he would stand no chance in a physical battle.
Granart says that she wouldn’t mind losing the next battle on purpose. However, Satou feels insulted that Granart wants to go easy on him. Satou tells Granart that he will beat her at full strength using the power of the rings.
