Satou and Hime have been friends ever since her mysterious entry from another world. Satou promised to protect Hime and grew in love with her ever since that moment. However, Hime must return to her world and marry the Prince.

Satou decides to crash the wedding and get Hime back. Besides Satou, a monster from the Abyss also unexpectedly enters the hall.

1. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of ‘Tales of Wedding Rings’ will be released on Saturday, January 13, 2024. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Saturday. You can watch ‘Tales of Wedding Rings’ anime on Crunchyroll.

I. Is Tales of Wedding Rings on a Break?

‘Tales of Wedding Rings’ is not on a break this week. Episode 2 has not been delayed and will be released on the above-stated date.

2. Episode 2 Speculation

Satou has been given the power of the Ring of Light. As the Ring King, Satou is responsible for killing all the monsters of the Abyss. The Maiden of Light, Hime, will constantly be a beacon for such monsters. Therefore, Satou must learn to wield his strength properly and kill monsters to keep Hime safe.

The next episode will likely start with Satou fighting the invaders. However, Satou does not know how to fight yet properly and even fainted the first time. Satou may fail to defeat this monster but will likely get help from the others. 

Besides Hime’s grandpa, there are many more characters to be introduced. The opening shows multiple girls with various fighting abilities that will likely be introduced soon. With his own team, Satou can keep Hime safe from the Abyss.

3. Recap of Episode 1

Alabaster had given his great prophecy of the ring ten years ago. When he met Hime, Satou was just a little boy roaming in the forest. Since that day, Satou became friends with Hime and promised to protect her forever.

In the present, Hime makes breakfast for Satou and sits with him while he eats. Hime always keeps two rings on her necklace that she protects. When Satou and Hime were children, Hime had asked him to marry her when they both turned adults. 

The following night, Satou and Hime watch the fireworks from the woods. Satou tries to muster the courage to confess to Hime, but she cuts him off. Hime says she will be moving out soon and thanks Satou for everything he’s done for her.

During the night, Satou catches Hime entering a gateway to another world. Hime says she will be going to her home world to get married. Satou crashes the wedding in the middle of her vows. At the same time, a monster from the Abyss appears. Hime’s grandpa tells her to give the Prince the ring but Hime runs to Satou instead. Hime kisses Satou and puts the ring on his finger.

The marriage becomes sealed, and the ring power goes into Satou. Satou swings the sword with his new power and kills the monster. Satou is now the Ring King prophesized to save the world. Satou is introduced to the Kingdom’s audience and delivers a speech.

After all the formalities, Satou relaxes in the hot springs with Hime as they discuss their new future. Hime realizes that Satou has been a hero ever since childhood. The alarm bell rings as a monster attack in search of the Ring King. Satou wields the Ring of Light with a giant axe to kill the invaders.

Satou has been in love with his childhood friend and neighbor, Hime, ever since she and her grandfather appeared out of nowhere 10 years ago. Now a dazzling, yet mysterious high school beauty, she makes it more and more difficult for him to confess his feelings.
