Mappa and Madhouse, the two powerhouse studios, have set their sights to conquer the top spots of the anime world. How will they do that? By collaborating on the upcoming takt op.Destiny anime!
Takt op. Destiny is an original anime featuring a world where music is forbidden since it attracts a certain dangerous creature. But the two protagonists, Takt Asahina and Destiny, are dead set on making music a weapon to defeat the creature instead.
The upcoming original anime Takt op. Destiny revealed a trailer during the live MAPPA 2021 Stage: 10th Anniversary event. The anime is scheduled for release on October 6, 2021.
The trailer looks really gripping with the animation and the intriguing characters. We can see Takt and Destiny giving it their all while fighting some hideous creatures.
We also notice that they fight with some unique gear, especially Takt, who fights with a baton. Another noticeable detail is that Takt has an amputated arm.
The effort that both the studios have put in can be noticed in the animation quality as well as the smooth transitions between scenes.
Kouki Uchiyama will voice the character of Takt Asahina. Uchiyama is known for his roles as Kei Tsukishima in Haikyuu!!, Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia and Toge Inumaki in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Let us all not forget that with brilliant anime comes the dark reality of the staff behind it. We all are aware of how infamous MAPPA became for overworking its staff. All we hope is that the same situation is not repeated.

takt op.Destiny is an upcoming original anime being produced by a collaboration between Madhouse and MAPPA studios. It is a musical battle anime that is scheduled to premiere in October 2021.
