Bandai Namco is the master of games and aims to create another ace with its upcoming multimedia franchise. Synduality is an upcoming original anime that is the product of collaboration between various famous artists and designers.
It was recently announced that the Synduality game would also receive an anime adaptation. A definite release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
A third-person shooter game for the Synduality franchise has also been announced, and it will be launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2022.
The new visual teases the possible main characters of the project with what looks like a mecha in the background.
You can check out the cast members behind the characters here:
Character | Cast | Other Works |
Noir | Aoi Koga | Kaguya Shinomiya (Kaguya-sama Love is War) |
Ciel | Nagisa Aoyama | Ren Hazuki (Love Live! Superstar!!) |
Schnee | M. A. O | Bela (BEM) |
The new trailer shows glimpses from the game and anime adaptations.
Some of the characters are introduced in the video, along with the mysterious machine. Since the anime takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, you can expect artificial intelligence to play a big role.
My guess would be that the humanoid robot is actually an AI called Magus. Humans will try to engage with them to ensure the survival of humanity.
Although the concept of Synduality is nothing new, I hope that the anime and game can together make the franchise more interactive.s
About Synduality
Synduality is an upcoming anime and video game project by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bandai Namco Filmworks, and Bandai Spirits.
Its story is based in the year 2222 in a dystopian reality where almost the entire human race was wiped out by a poisonous rain called ‘Tears of the New Moon.’ The rain gave birth to monstrous creatures that fed on humans, forcing the remaining population to flee and build an underground haven Amasia.
The main plot begins when the protagonists stumble upon an Artificial Intelligence named Magus and try to figure out how things work between humans and AI.
