Sword Art Online‘s 85th episode, titled “Ray of Light”, shows off Asuna’s battle power alongside Alice on her new goddess account.

Sword Art Online: Alicization is expected to return in April 2020 with the franchise’s 86th episode, titled “The Great Underworld War”.

A new poster for Sword Art Online: Alicization was shared in Dengeki G’s Magazine, and it shows off Alice and Asuna back to back, ready for combat.

Asuna and Alice got into a fight when they initially met. Still, due to the presence of a more significant threat, they have now taken up arms on the same side.

A fight sequence featuring their teamwork is yet to be shown, however, fans of the show won’t get new episodes before the Spring 2020 season.

Alice was introduced as a key figure for the third season, but has become a significant character and can be compared to the likes of Asuna and Kirito.

The third season of the show is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, Funimation, HIDIVE and Hulu. A 3-month hiatus on the stream of new content is the perfect time to catch up on the events of the Underworld arc. The upcoming cour will be the final instalment to the Alicization arc.
