Makoto Shinkai’s latest film Suzume has been a trending topic since its release. The film broke records one after another at the Japanese box office and stayed in the top 10 list for weeks. In Japan alone, the film has grossed over $250 million in revenue.
With its worldwide release, Suzume is now also making a mark in other countries and becoming one of the most-watched films.

It is obvious now, but honestly, this is Shinkai’s third blockbuster anime film in a row. This is nothing short of a miraculous feat. There is a lot about his movies that give them an enchanting vibe, especially the story, the designs, and the presentation. It’s great to see viewers appreciating great work.
