Sustainability Week in Pokemon Go set to introduce Gen 7 Pokemon

Pokemon Go’s announcement of the Sustainability Week of 2023 will coincide with the debut of a Gen 7 Pokemon in the game. Developers Niantic have also addressed the recent tension amidst updates to Remote Raids.

Season 10 is underway and has introduced to the players the legendary Pokemon Regieleki. Togetic, a very elusive catch in Pokemon Go was announced on April’s Community Day.

The Pokemon Go Sustainability Week of 2023 will begin on April 20th at 10:00 am and will run until April 26th at 8:00 pm Local Time. The lovable Gen 7 Fruit Pokemon – Bounsweet – will make its Pokemon Go debut. Also, debuting will be the beautiful Grass-type Steenee and Tsareena. A bunch of other Pokemons are also set to be featured following the event.

Bounsweet evolves into Steenee with 25 Bounsweet candies and Steene evolves into Tsareena with 100 Bounsweet candies, as mentioned in the blog by Pokemon Go.

Players participating in the Sustainability Week can lay their hands on Drilbur, Bounsweet, and Cherubi, a small and cute Grass-type baby Pokemon through 2km eggs.

Pokemon Ultra Buddy or higher will bring more souvenirs more often. Pokemon Great Buddy or higher will bring gifts with berries more often. Lucky players might get a Silver Pinap Berry.

The Buddy Pokemon will accompany the player on the map longer after being fed. Half the distance traveled will earn hearts when with Buddy Pokemon.

There will also be a Timed Research-themed award like items and encounters with Pokemons like Drilbus, Trubbish, and Bounsweet upon completing the tasks.

Other themed tasks available are Field Research themed tasks whose rewards are Drilbur encounter. New avatar items available for purchase are a Bounsweet hat, Steene Shirt, and Tsareena Boots.

While the majority of the community is affected by the change in Remote Raids in the game, the new update hopes to reunite the fanbase once more and offer content to engage the community.
