Netflix has been working on its anime library for a while now, and it never fails to surprise us by adding new masterpieces to its anime catalogue.
This convention lives on as Netflix released the strange side story of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure on its streaming platform.
A popular mangaka getting involved in paranormal events. I wonder if Hirohiko Araki was trying to introduce his own personality into the world of the Joestars through the adventures of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan spinoff series.
On Thursday, the 4 episodes of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan anime were globally released on Netflix’s streaming platform.
Moreover, Netflix will give the anime a special dubbed version. Voice actor Landon McDonald has hit up fans with an announcement on his Twitter handle stating that he will be playing the role of Kishibe Rohan.
Last month, the official YouTube channel for Netflix anime released the trailer of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan.
The trailer revolved around the supernatural and mystery element of the series, giving us a glimpse of its artwork, western references, fight scenes and everything else that remind us of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
The spinoff anime is set somewhere between the “Diamond is Unbreakable” and the “Golden Time” arcs. However, the timeline won’t matter much because the events are in no way related to the original series.
Kishibe Rohan, the protagonist of the series, travels from place to place to add more realism to his stories.
Although he isn’t from the Joester bloodline, he possesses some of the coolest superpowers you can witness. He can instantly read a person and alter their memories and behaviour.
Each episode portrays a supernatural adventure of Rohan at a particular place. There are only four episodes that anyone can binge within a few hours.
This world-wide Netflix premiere is bringing much limelight to this underrated anime series, and fans are absolutely loving it.
Now, the next question that strikes our mind is, “Will there be a season 2?” I am afraid that there doesn’t appear to be any plans for season 2 at the time of writing.
However, there’s always a possibility of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan returning to the anime silver screen. Who knows, it can even give rise to an entirely original continuation of the series.
