The CW has officially renewed the hit series, Superman & Lois, for a third season. The renewal was confirmed on the day Season 2 Episode 8 of the show is all set to air, after a two-week-long hiatus.
The series focuses on the two titular characters, Clark Kent and Lois Lane, and their twin sons Jonathan and Jordan Kent as they lead their lives in Smallville after Clark’s mother Martha’s demise.
The show quickly became a fan favorite and was renewed for a second season that began airing in January 2022.
According to The Wrap, The CW has officially renewed the show for Season 3 along with various other popular shows, including The Flash, Nancy Drew, All American, Riverdale, and Kung Fu Walker.
There is no confirmation about the release date of Season 3, but January 2023 seems to be a tentative time.
Season 3 will most likely have 13 episodes like the previous two seasons of the show. The season has a lot to explore and various plotlines that the makers can potentially explore. The series also draws heavily from the storyline of DC Rebirth.
Although DC shows such as The Flash and Superman & Lois have been renewed by the CW, Arrowverse shows such as Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman have not been renewed yet.
