Episode 16 Discussion and Predictions
In episode 15 of Summertime Rendering, Shinpei’s attempt to end everything in one blow falls short, but all of the characters manage to escape alive. They had Mio’s shadow. Ushio Kofune will be seen turning Mio’s shadow to their side in episode 16.
It is apparent that Ushio and Shinpei have affection for each other. Ushio was strangled to death in the original timeline as she attempted to defend Hiori from Hiori’s shadow, along with Ushio’s own shadow.
Haine might attack them again soon. We might discover that Haine is simply lost and divided into two halves, with the wicked side gaining control.

Episode 15 Recap
In episode 15 of Summertime Rendering Shinpei realizes that he was shot by a sniper. Kofune informed him that she saw no shadows and that the bullet was fired by a real sniper. They captured Nezu. Shinpei became frustrated and regretted making Nezu snipe when they had foreseen it.
Shinpei discovered that their purpose is not to keep him alive, but to murder him and that each time the loop repeats, he loses time. According to him, this is the final loop, and the next time he is killed, he will fall off the cliff into the darkness and die.
Shinpei discovered that Haine knows where he is because of the brand on his hand, and she will undoubtedly come to witness his murder. He devises a strategy to settle it in a single shot. Shide arrives with an army of shadows to kill him. He directed Mio’s shadow to attack him while Kofune grabbed him and fled.
Shide appears to have no vulnerability to gunfire. Haine directs the troops to capture Shinpei and Ushio, while Mio murders the hunter. Tokiko defeats Mio in a battle by using two shadows against her.
Haine and Shide fired at Shinpei, but Hizuru saw it coming and took the bullet.
They attempt again, but even without a scope, Nezu’s sniper covers Shinpei and Ushio. Haine became enraged when he discovered that Ushio had turned those two shadows to their side.
Shinpei’s strategy had worked till that point; they had coated Haine and Shide in oil and set them on fire because shadows are vulnerable to fire.
Haine assaults Shinpei without incurring any fire damage but is spared by Ushio’s ability to generate replicas. Shide attacks Ushio after failing to eliminate Haine. She outsmarts Shide, and just as she is about to erase him, Haine uses her power to get away. As a result, the episode concludes with everyone safe.

Summer Time Rendering is a manga by Yasuki Tanaka. It started serialization in the Shonen Jump+ magazine in October 2017. The manga ended on 1st February 2021 with an anime announcement.
The manga is a mystery story set in the Wakayama prefecture, a remote island with a small population. Shinpei had to return to the island to attend the funeral of his childhood friend and family member.
Although the funeral seemed to be progressing without any disturbance, Shinpei was suddenly caught in a dreadful situation.
