Summer Time Rendering might sound like a fun summer crush story, but it is definitely not for soft anime lovers.
The series starts with a guy visiting his hometown following the death of a childhood friend. Somehow, hometowns aren’t as pleasing in anime as in real-life. Once you get a taste of the underlying horror of the series, it’ll be too late to leave.
The Summer Time Rendering anime will be released in April 2022 with 25 episodes that will cover the entire plot of the manga. It will receive two cours which will be aired in a row. (Finally, a complete series.)
Meanwhile, a new trailer has been released to catch your attention.
Shinpei returns to his hometown at the start of the PV. Even though Ushio’s death seems like it had happened under normal circumstances, Shinpei will slowly realize that things are not so normal in his surroundings.
It depicts the concept of time leaps, which is an important element in the series. The trailer perfectly captures some of the most intense scenes of the manga and leaves me craving solutions to all the mysteries.
An intriguing new visual has also been revealed:
The visual portrays the time when Ushio, Shinpei, and Mio confronted the shadow together.
Three main cast members have also been revealed for the upcoming anime:
Character | Cast | Other Works |
Shinpei Ajiro | Natsuki Hanae | Tanjiro Kamado (Demon Slayer) |
Ushio Kofune | Anna Nagase | Tom (Back Arrow) |
Mio Kofune | Saho Shirasu | Charlotte Arisaka Anderson (The Detective is Already Dead) |
Disney+ has acquired the anime and will stream it in Japan and worldwide.
Summer Time Rendering is armed and ready for its debut, and I do not doubt that it will grip your attention within a single episode.
