Stuck on “Logging into Online Services” Fix – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 has arrived and with it came the new Warzone 2, but just like other multiplayer games these days, it has not had a perfect launch as there are bugs here and there. A new server error has occurred in Warzone 2.0 where you’re stuck on a “Logging into Online Services” message. 

As you’re navigating the menu after starting Warzone 2, you may get a message saying “Logging into Online Services” which is normal. The problem starts when it stays on screen even after a few minutes. Whenever you get stuck on this message, it means that Warzone servers are under a lot of stress. 

Thousands of players are playing the game everyday so it’s natural that the servers are put under stress, but it’s also ruining the experience for some players. Something could be wrong on your end too which is causing this issue but that’s less likely. 

There are two workarounds for this if this issue isn’t on Activision’s end. You can either try to restart your internet connection or reset your router or you can check for the game updates and ensure that the game is updated to the latest version. 

We’re gonna explain both the workarounds in a detailed manner below:

Restart your internet connection

To check if this is a problem from your side, what you need to do is unplug the router, plug it back in and restart your internet connection. After restarting it, relaunch the game to see if the issue is fixed. If it’s not fixed, then proceed onto the next step. 

Check the game for updates

PlayStation doesn’t let you use online features for a multiplayer game if the game is not updated to its latest version. So, if you’re on PlayStation, check if the game is updated to the latest version and if it’s not, then update it. Check the game for updates on all platforms, not just PlayStation to ensure that it isn’t a problem from your side. 

If both of the above methods do not resolve the issue, then we suggest waiting for an official patch to roll out which fixes the issue. Also keep an eye on the support account so you’re notified if there’s a fix to the issue, or if the servers are down.
