Sony Willing To Spend $1 Billion

Crunchyroll, currently the biggest anime streaming website, is under the talks of changing hands from AT&T to Sony.
Sony has entered the final stage of negotiation on acquiring Crunchyroll. Sony could end up spending more than $957 million on Crunchyroll.
AT&T revised its selling price to $1 billion. At first, this offer of selling Crunchyroll was made to several other buyers than Sony.
Sony is already the owner of Funimation & is a conglomerate business. Thus making it one of the best options to sell Crunchyroll to.
Will Crunchyroll retain its independence as a streaming platform? This question will soon follow if the deal succeeds between AT&T & Sony.
