Toei’s Hack Effects Film’s Premiere
By Epic Dope Staff | March 21, 2022
Things don’t go easy for any fans of anime created by Toei Animation as more bad news hits.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Film has been delayed until further notice due to a hack at Toei headquarters last week.
In a statement, the company revealed that the hacking incident that took place in March 2022 has made it difficult to produce the film.
Toei stated that it will disclose the new release date of the film eventually. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was originally supposed to release in Japan on April 22, 2022.
Toei has hyped up Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero through trailers, merch, and posters. The hack must have proved larger than what any one of us thought.
It is ambiguous if this delay will affect the North American release of the film, which is scheduled for summer 2022.
