Blue Period will mark a distinct break from the shonen or isekai anime that have been flooding the scene these days.

With Netflix’s decision to stream the series weekly, even foreign fans can enjoy it with Japanese otakus.

The wait for Blue Period will be over soon as Netflix has acquired its international streaming rights and will stream it overseas starting October 9, 2021.

The trailer follows Yatora, who has a sudden awakening in arts. He is a boy who works hard and plays harder, but somehow his loneliness is cured only when he paints.

So leaving aside all his logical choices, Yatora decides to get into the Tokyo University of Arts, which has an arduous admission process.

“EVERBLUE,” the anime’s opening theme song by Omoinotake, is also previewed in the trailer.

After reading the Blue Period manga, I’ve been patiently waiting for the anime, and its release date is finally within reach.
