By Epic Dope Staff | June 1, 2021
Kadokawa is a well-known name in the anime industry; the conglomerate has recently taken steps towards strengthening its production houses.
Just a few months back, Kadokawa had acquired J-Novel Club, a US-based publishing company.
Kadokawa announced that it had established a new 3DCG and visual effects anime studio named Studio Kadan with a capital of 100 million yen.
The firm’s president is producer Takeshi Kikuchi, while the vice president is anime director Hiroyuki Seshita.
Studio Kadan has stated that it can carry out full 3DCG cell-look CG animation.
With 40 anime titles per year, it will be interesting to see how 3DCG will play into the grand scheme of things.
