Gundam Hathaway: Son of Bright, the movie trilogy’s second part which adapts Hathaway Noa’s experience in a terrorist organization, is now on hold.
After the first film premiered in June 2021, fans expected the second and third to follow in close succession.
The director of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, Shukou Murase, has commented that the series’ second film might not be released before 2024.
Since the trilogy focuses on Noa’s attempt to attack a Federation cabinet member in Australia, the movie needs to be designed after the specific area.
The second film will build on Noa’s soured relationship with his father as he has joined the organization, which directly opposes his dad’s work.
If you are interested in watching the film in theaters, then just like the first film, the second one might also be available a month after its Japan release.
