A.I.R’s Twitter account has revealed that the original TV anime Akudama Drive is all set to premiere in Japan on October 8th, 2020.
The announcement was accompanied by a promotional video and a vibrant new visual depicting the seven main characters.
The trailer opens to a futuristic Japan and announces more cast members, the opening theme song artists, and the premiere date for the anime.
Akudama Drive is an original anime by Too Kyo Games and Studio Pierrot. The show is set during a war between Kansai and Kantou that splits Japan in half.
Kansai is now a vassal state of Kantou where powerful criminals known as “Akudama” roam the streets with no one to oppose them.
The ending theme song “Ready” will be performed by UraShimaSakataSen. Tomohiro Taguchi is directing the anime with Kazutaka Kodaka's original story.
