Uzumaki isn’t the only horror manga breakthrough by Junji Ito. The mangaka has a whole lineup of spine-chilling stories, and some of them will be getting adapted into the upcoming anime Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre.
Fair warning, this anthology is not for the faint-hearted. From bizarre spirits to psychological horror, Ito-sensei knows the A-Z of the genre.
Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre will be released in 2023, but a definite debut date hasn’t been confirmed yet. It will include 20 stories from Juni Ito’s works that have never been adapted into an anime before.
