Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is available without any charge on Steam. The popular game digital distribution store is celebrating Sega’s 60th anniversary.
Over the years, Sega has never failed to entertain us. Each arrival of the video game developing company never fails to mesmerize us.
Therefore, in order to acknowledge Sega’s iconic work throughout the years, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is free to keep on Steam.
Whenever the word Sonic pops up, I’m sent to this deep state of nostalgia. Like Mario, most of us grew up by accumulating the Seven Chaos Emeralds to stop the sinister Dr Robotnik along with his army of robots.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is currently available on Steam (You can find the link down below) and this offer will last till October 19.
Even if installing the game is a nuisance to you, you can still keep it. All you have to do is add it to your account and it will be yours for eternity. Not a bad offer, is it?
Moreover, other than Sonic 2, Steam is also offering other editions of the Sonic franchise on sale.
- Sonic 3D Blast – $1
- Sonic Spinball – $1
- Sonic Adventure 2 – $2.50
- Sonic Adventure 2: Battle – $1
- Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 – $2.50 each
- Sonic Adventure DX – $1
- Sonic the Hedgehog – $1

It is also said that other than Sonic, Sega will be offering a set of mini-games on Steam for a limited period.
From October 15 to October 18, enthusiasts can get their hands on mini-games that Sega will hand-out to celebrate 60 years of thriving in the gaming industry.
Unfortunately, Sega has not provided us with any clue regarding what to expect from these mini-games. Henceforth, one will have to wait for another few days to see what Sega will come up with.
If you couldn’t care less about Sonic and have never been fond of Sega, then Steam has something for you too.
Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition is currently live. The festival will offer countless games to try out. You can read more about this generosity by Steam here.
