The Stargirl franchise has taken the series to a whole new level in this episode by introducing a character from the history books. It has set up a premise that will be explored in the upcoming seasons and has the potential to produce an incredible finale.
The CW has not renewed the show for a fourth season. While it is disheartening, it also gives me hope that all the loose ends will be tied within the next four episodes.
Going by Brec’s words, ‘Things happen for a reason.’
1. Episode 10 Speculation/Synopsis

This week’s episode increased my curiosity about the cloaked figure.
As expected, Rick feels the aftermath form his overuse of the hourglass. Right after that, Beth gets a ping for the location of the surveillance center for the security cameras. It points toward the direction of Mahkent’s house.
Earlier this season, we saw Cameron’s grandparents doing shady stuff. They quickly rushed through a door and went away somewhere.
The following scenes didn’t show us what happened next. Where did they go?
Initially, I thought they would attack Sylvester as they were suspicious of him. But maybe they were going to the surveillance room! Maybe Icicle was there with them at the ISA Headquarters, and that’s how they got in!
Now, I personally don’t think it is them. There was only one hooded person in the surveillance room, and it just doesn’t add up somewhere. But this ping doesn’t rule out the possibility of this scenario either.
Talking about the Mahkents, a fascinating turn of events takes place as Cameron manages to overpower Rick. His grandmother accuses the kids of killing his father! Courtney has no reply. I could tell by the look on her face that it is true.
Now, we don’t get any follow up on that. I am interested to see the reactions from the grandparents (especially the grandmother) for the whole group. It will be good to have some closure.
Talking about closures, Pat opens up to Barbara about seeing his father and Mike in the Shadowlands. This brings up a very emotional side of Pat as he talks about Mike’s mother and how he failed as a father.
We know that Mike’s mother left him as a child, and Pat slowly blocked her out of his son’s memory. Now, why is that important?
Mike’s mother hasn’t featured much in the past, but we got her reference in the Shadowlands. Will the last few episodes finally reveal details about her past?
We know that this is going to be the last season of Stargirl. So, it won’t be a surprise if they end it with Mike getting some much-needed closure about his mother.
Mike and Jakeem visit the farm at the creepiest time of the night. I mean, seriously, guys, go during the day!
As soon as they were there, I was sure something creepy would happen. And then came the biggest surprise element, Ultra Humanite! Yes, the fat-brained monster finally makes his grand entry into the Stargarl series!
Just a quick reference, Ultra Humanite was a human who had an exceptionally powerful brain. So it began deteriorating his body, and he turned into this monster/gorilla man. He is one of the oldest villains in the DC comics. It is crazy that he is showing up here! I did not expect that.
Ultra Humanite can never be the hooded figure behind the surveillance cameras. I mean, look at his size!
So, is the monster not related to the cameras? Or are they working as a single unit? Or can the hooded guy be Per Degaton, The Flash’s nemesis? I predicted this in my previous week’s update, and it can still be possible!

Paula takes Barbara to the gym and teaches her how to fight. Paula gets shocked when Barbara calls her a friend. Meanwhile, Jakeem and Mike break into Cindy’s locker to get a lead on where she might be.
Rick starts showing instability because of his intimacy with the 24-hour hourglass. Beth sees a signal bouncing off the Mahkent’s house and realizes they might be behind the surveillance cameras. Cameron’s grandma tries to kill the JSA members, but they have teamed up, and a huge fight breaks out.
Hourman takes on Cameron. Yolanda attacks the grandparents. Cameron defeats Rick and proceeds to kill him as his grandmother accuses the JSA of killing his father.
The grandfather suffers from a heart attack, and Beth’s suit saves him. The fight ends with everyone worrying for the grandfather and Rick.
Meanwhile, Rick and Jakeem discover something unexpected at the farm.
