For those of you who haven’t watched the final of the Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is streaming on Disney+ right now. The movie was added to Disney Plus on Monday, May 4, officially known as Star Wars Day.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker released on December 20, 2019, and even though it received mixed reviews from fans and critics, it was a global hit.
The Rise of Skywalker on Disney Plus was expected sometime this summer as it takes about eight months for new Star Wars and Disney movies to hit streaming services. The Rise of Skywalker released on Digital HD on March 17, and Blu-ray and 4K on March 31.
Generally, there’s a long gap between the home video and the Disney Plus release for these new motion pictures. With everything going on, it appeared well and good for Disney to push the release date to May 4.
After The Last Jedi, Rey and the Resistance make their last remain against the First Order and, indeed, Emperor Palpatine, who is some way or another not dead after so long.
