Star Wars has given us so much content over some of our beloved characters telling us their story before and after the events of the original trilogy, except for Princess Leia’s.
The manga industry got us covered and began publishing Star Wars Leia, Princess of Alderaan in 2019.
Based on Claudia Gray’s novel of the same name, mangaka Haruichi created this brilliant manga to tell people the story of a young Leia before she led the Rebellion.
As every good thing has its disadvantages, this Star Wars manga has too, which is going on hiatus often.
The manga Star Wars Leia, Princess of Alderaan has gone on yet another hiatus for a little while. The LINE Manga App that publishes it announced the break on Saturday.
The sudden hiatus is most likely due to Haruichi’s health issues, as the manga has gone on many short breaks like this before for the same reason. We hope it’s nothing serious and that Haruichi gets complete rest and recovers his health.
It is not new that mangaka are exploited in the industry giving rise to life-threatening health issues. The only thing fans pray for is for the author to get better and take complete rest, even if that means delaying chapters indefinitely.
The Star Wars manga brings us the never-before-told story of the iconic and fan-favorite Princess Leia. She was treated more as a supporting character to Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Kylo Ren, giving less importance to her story before joining the protagonists in the original trio.
Now, after much demand, we’re finally getting the detailed information and story about the events that conspired, which led Leia to become the leader of the Rebellion.
The hiatus is unfortunate, but if it makes you feel better, then LINE App will publish bonus illustrations during the break.
We all know that Star Wars prequels are mostly tragic and don’t end well, but that doesn’t make them less significant, and they remain worth a watch.
So I’ll be here looking (and crying) at fanart of Skywalker fam if things were different, and you can have a rerun of the entire franchise.
