Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, developed by Respawn, is coming out on the 28th of April 2023. The player can continue as Cal, who has matured and grown into a powerful Jedi knight, as per the official EA page.
With just a little over two months to go before the release, some new gameplay footage has been released by IGN, focusing mainly on combat, seeking to improve Fallen Order in many ways. The game has a very refined feel to it and is less clunky than its predecessor.
The game is set on the planet Koboh, a massive world wherein exploration has been made meaningful. As per the review, it is clear that rewards aren’t merely cosmetic now.
The rewards feel lively and provide useful things like additional skill points as an incentive for exploring every nook and corner of the wide world.
As per the review by IGN based on 5 hours of gameplay, the game was said to be appropriately rewarding. This includes updated skill trees for each lightsaber stance, force powers, flat health, and force upgrades.
The developers paid great attention to the game and even made treasure chests that offer cosmetic awards with great improvements. There’s also a vast availability of new hairstyles for Cal to equip.
With better combat and more rewarding exploration, the second installment to the series will also feature human dismemberment and Meditation Chamber Puzzles in memory of Zelda: Breath of Wild’s Shrines.
The developer also revealed a DLC for the game, called “Obi-Wan Kenobi” after the fabled Jedi, allowing Cal to dress the part and wield a blue lightsaber.
The game will be out on 28th April 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox series X|S. This comes after a delay to the initial March 17th release, attributed to some additional refining.
