The Tokyo Game Show is held every year giving Japanese developers and publishers to showcase their upcoming titles. TGS 2022 is already hyped with many publishers and developers revealing what they have planned for TGS 2022 including giants like Capcom and Konami.
Square Enix, associated with many popular titles including the Final Fantasy series, was yet to reveal its involvement in the Tokyo Game Show 2022. But now the company has revealed what it has planned.
Square Enix has opened its Tokyo Game Show 2022 website, revealing its lineup of games and live stream schedule planned to showcase at the event including rumored Final Fantasy Titles.
The second part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake, “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth”, along with the latest addition to the series, Final Fantasy XVI, are set to feature at the event. Fans are still unsure about the appearance of Final Fantasy XVI as earlier there were rumors that the game won’t be featured at the event.
Considering that it is Square Enix’s biggest upcoming project, it ideally should make an appearance. However, due to the lack of hype being built around Final Fantasy 16’s appearance at the Square Enix booth, many are expecting that some old trailers will be shown instead of anything new.
Other games like the action-adventure title Forspoken will be getting a showcase, alongside other highly anticipated games like the new Nier: Automata: The End of YoRHa edition for Switch, and Valkyrie Elysium.
The full list of the games planned to showcase is:
- Forspoken
- Valkyire Eylsium
- Star Ocean: The Divine Force
- Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered
- Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion
- Voice of Cards: Captive Monsters
- The DioField Chronicle
