Anya discovers a top-secret dessert in episode 4 of Spy x Family Season 2 titled “The Pastry of Knowledge.”

While eating in the cafeteria, Becky and Anya overhear a conversation at the adjacent table about a top-secret royal pastry chef. They rush to the chef to try and get the magical macarons rumored to increase their intelligence.

Unluckily, they run out by the time they reach. The one who got the last plate offers to share with the group, but they must first eliminate one member through a game.

2. Episode 5 Speculation

The episode ended with Yor receiving a phone call from her usual assassination agent. Considering this is the first time we have seen how she operates, this may be a serious mission. For all we know, they could order the assassination of Twilight.

The next episode will focus on Yor taking on this mysterious assassination job. Considering she is currently at work, she may either wait for the night or make an excuse and leave, depending on the urgency.

Loid is also on a mission at the same time and has been tipped off about an assassin vigilante group in the city. Although he doesn’t give it much importance, they will likely come into play soon.

3. Recap of Episode 4

Anya and Becky spend lunchtime together and play with toy sheep at the cafeteria. Becky interrupts the roleplay by telling Anya that next term, the classes will be split according to performance.

Their conversation is interrupted by the other table talking about a legendary dessert. The rumor goes that a royal chef makes it, and anybody who eats it will become an Imperial Scholar. Anya, Becky, Desmond, and his friends race to get the last macarons.

Another boy gets the last dish, and they run out of macarons. Since he has five, he offers four to the group. Including Desmond’s group, they have one extra person and decide to settle it with a game. On the lawn, they bring out the playing cards and start playing.

Using her telepathy, Anya easily dominates the game. Desmond suspects she can read minds, so she suggests a rematch. She purposely loses some of the rounds, and eventually, only Desmond and Anya are left.

After seeing Anya almost cry, Desmond gets flustered and gives her the win. After eating the macaron, she feels a surge of intelligence and speeds through the quiz. Everybody gets horrible marks regardless, and Anya’s depressed.

Franky encounters a girl at the café who’s lost her cat. To try and get close to her, he uses his contacts to find the cat. Eventually, one of his sources mentions that they saw the cat, Kopi, near a specific area. Franky and Yor try using cat nip gadgets to lure Kopi, but it backfires.

A massive army of cats show up and jump onto them. Kopi also approaches them but maintains a safe distance from Franky. He chases after the cat, but it taunts and plays around while evading all his spy gadgets.

Yor uses her incredible speed to catch the cat, and Franky gives it to Kacey. Unlucky for him, she already has a boyfriend who thanks Franky for finding the cat.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.

Season 2 and a theatrical film are releasing in 2023.
