This episode was more of a filler type since it focused on Bond and Damian’s days off. We will likely continue with the main story in the next episode, which may focus on Loid or Anya at the school. The latter is more probable since we haven’t seen much of Anya for two episodes.

The trailer teased some scenes of Anya getting her test results so that we may see the whole setup for that episode. Since the school year has already begun, they are bound to have their midterms or first exams soon.

3. Recap of Episode 2

Anya constantly watches Bond laze around the day and calls him lazy. After she leaves for homework, Bond wakes up and thinks about the possibility of getting killed by the people from the lab. He starts missing Anya and starts clawing at her door.

She says she’s busy with homework and kicks him out, so he goes to Yor next. Yor assumes he’s hungry and then begins cooking food. He foresees a future where she cooks such a horrible meal that kills him immediately. To save his life, he starts thinking of a way not to eat Yor’s food.

Bond runs out into the street searching for Loid, hoping he’ll come home early and make him some food. His mission is a failure, and he spends the entire day roaming around until dark. After much tracking, Bond finds Loid in the middle of a mission and helps him.

They sneak into the lab and find a bunch of safes. While Loid tries to search through the lockers, Bond has another premonition. He warns Loid that the workers are returning soon, and they wait to ambush them. He now foresees a happy meal and barks in celebration.

Even on their day off, Damian was forced to do chores around the dormitory. After seeing his suffering, the teacher sends him and his friends on a field research trip. Mr.Green takes them rafting through the river, and then they set up for a picnic on the shore and try fishing.

Once darkness sets in, they roast fish around the campfire and eat food. Green notices Damian getting sad about slacking off and gives him some advice. He says that instead of permanently working hard, sometimes relaxing and spacing out proves to be more beneficial.

After food, they start backpacking through the forest and look at the Ostania night sky. At the end of their walk, they reach a vast lake that reflects the entire sky perfectly. Damian lies down and lets his five senses take control as he admires everything around him.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.
