Operation Strix has continued smoothly throughout this season, and the Forger family has remained intact. However, Anya has yet to gather more stars and contact Damian’s family. Until Loid manages to make contact with the Desmonds, the mission cannot progress.

Loid takes Bond for a walk and asks Anya if she wants to join. However, Anya is busy with making origami. Loid decides to use this opportunity for training instead of a regular walk. Loid uses Franky as a test dummy for Bond to practice on.

Anya makes a bunch of origami stars and shows them off to Yor. During the walk, Bond tries to stop accidents that he sees in the future. An old man is going to be hit by a bicycle nearby, and Bond runs to prevent it. Bond rushes and bites the man’s coat, making Loid think that Bond is becoming a reckless, untrained dog.

Loid thinks of taking Bond to a vet, but Bond sits there terrified. A fire is about to erupt in the nearby building, and Bond sniffs around. After leading Loid to the building, Bond runs straight into the fire. Loid follows him in, and Bond saves a puppy.

The fire surrounds most of the apartment, removing all the oxygen. Bond and Loid run through the corridors and jump out the window. Loid hands the puppy back to the residents. Bond spots the arsonist, watching everything from an alley, and chases him down.

The man tries to stab Bond, but Loid gets there in time and bites him. After noticing the oil and fire supplies in his bag, Loid pets Bond and thanks him. Loid also warns Bond that Anya’s still at home waiting for him to return.

Meanwhile, Yor tries to make some origami pieces alongside Anya. Although Loid lies about what happened, Anya reads his mind and figures it out. Anya then gives two origami stars to Loid and Bond.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.

Season 2 and a theatrical film are releasing in 2023.
