3. Recap of Episode 9

After the fireworks show, Loid and Anya walk back through the corridor. Loid notices the security personnel acting uneasy and lip-reads their conversation. A bomb has been planted at the bottom of the ship, and Loid considers involving himself. Anya reads his mind and says she will play at the daycare so Loid can go wherever.

After dropping Anya off, Loid immediately rushes to find more information. Anya tricks the daycare lady and runs away to help Yor. The security personnel find the bomb and struggle to disarm it. Loid disguises himself as the captain and offers to disarm the bomb.

Anya gets onto the deck and finds one of Yor’s blades. Yor is still in battle with the swordsman, and Anya realizes it. Anya throws the blade onto the deck, where Yor finds it. In a single strike faster than the eye can see, Yor finishes off her opponent.

Loid successfully disarms the bomb, and State Security celebrates. However, Loid realizes there may be more bombs since only one wouldn’t sink the ship. While Anya runs back, she notices one of the assassins trying to regroup. The assassin thinks about the bomb in the clock, and Anya reads his mind. Anya goes to one of the officers and tells him that she saw some creepy guy stick a booger on the clock.

Meanwhile, the informant uses a lifeboat to get out of the ship. However, the assassin jumps onto the same boat. Loid quickly goes through each bomb but realizes he has no more time. Coincidentally, Loid throws it directly at the lifeboat and sinks the assassin and the informant.

Olka hugs Yor and thanks her for everything she’s done. The Director asks Yor not to let her guard down until dawn comes. After Loid finishes disarming all the bombs, he returns to Anya, who has fallen asleep. Loid carries her back to the room, and everybody rests.
