Twilight and Yuri face each other at gunpoint in mission 82 of Spy x Family.

It was a short but highly interesting chapter. The espionage technique SSS used to detect who the mole was fun and smart. The main twist was Twilight disguising himself as the fake Wheeler. 

The chapter got more exciting near the end when Twilight changed his disguise and dressed like Yuri, but ironically, he had to come across his brother-in-law while still having his face on.

1. Chapter 83 Speculations

One out of Twilight or Yuri might go down in chapter 83 of Spy x Family.

Well, there is a high possibility of both their attacks missing their targets. Maybe seeing Yuri will force Twilight to stop firing at him and will deviate from Yuri’s shot too. 

The bigger and more shocking twist will be Yuri landing the shot on Twilight, causing him a major injury. We still have to think about what will happen if Twilight gets captured. That will be the biggest victory for SSS and an even bigger blow to Wise.

Wheeler meets his accomplices in a park. The man from Security Services asks Wheeler to hand over the file, but Wheeler refuses. He wants proof that the man is actually from Security Services. 

In return, the man asks Wheeler what proof he has to make them believe he is the real Wheeler. Wheeler mentions his green tie and yellow gemstone as part of his identification. 

The twist comes when the chief of the State Security Service catches Jeffery, one of the officers, and identifies him as a mole for Wise. “Yellow” was the code word they used to catch who the mole was. 

 

This also reveals that it is Twilight in the disguise of Wheeler. His cover is blown, but before his enemies can do anything, his traps come into play, helping him escape. 

They go after him, but the traps cause much hindrance. Suddenly, the SSS officers find Yuri lying injured in a corner. He points them in the direction where Twilight has gone.  

However, it is actually Twilight faking his identity. The real Yuri gets alert after hearing gunshots. He finds his footsteps and guesses that Twilight has escaped through the sewers.

He thinks that Twilight is panicking and this is their chance to catch him. He goes ahead in the sewers alone. He is carefully moving ahead when a gunshot blows away his cap. 

He comes face-to-face with Twilight, who is still in the disguise of Yuri. They both panic, and we hear a gunshot. Back at home, Yor breaks a plate and wonders when Loid will be back home.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.

Season 2 and a theatrical film are releasing in 2023.
