The first season of ‘Spy Classroom’ shows two big missions with the first one starting off the season. We also get to see other short missions in the middle that allowed us to know more about the characters and what runs across their mind as they undergo these missions.
However, the anime got a mixed reaction, with many fans complaining about the structure. About half of the episodes were set as flashbacks which interrupted the timeline of the series.
On Sunday, the official website for the ‘Spy Classroom’ anime series released a promotional video and key visual. It is also revealed in the video that the second season will premiere on July 13.
The video shows all the members of Lamplight but seems to focus on Annette a.k.a. Forgetter. In a couple of scenes, she is seen talking to someone. We also see Monika confronting Thea which was first shown at the end of Season 1. In the background, the opening song “Rakuen” (Paradise) by nonoc plays.
The ending song is also revealed by the staff. sajou no hana is performing the song “Nuisance”.
All the main cast members are reprising their roles for the second season.

The second season is also going to start with a mission, although having a less confusing structure would be better. It will also be interesting to see a mission centered on Monika or Thea which might reveal the Dreamspeaker’s true motives.

Spy Classroom is a manga series by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. It was first launched as a light novel in January 2020 and received a manga adaptation in May 2020. It received an anime in 2023.
