Voiced Comics is an all-new type of manga experience that Shonen Jump has come up with. By adding sound effects and voices to the characters, a manga is being brought to life.
Now many of you will ask, isn’t that what an anime is? Technically yes, but these new videos retain the art from the manga and are simply adding sounds and voices with little to no animation effects.
Thus you get to enjoy the manga and its art style but with a more immersive experience.
The official Twitter account of Jump’s Youtube channel has revealed the next mangas which will be adapted into voice comics.

The schedule of voice manga release is as follows:
- “Spirit Photographer Saboru-Kun” by Kaiu Shirai and Demizu Posuka; 22nd – 23rd December.

The first part of Spirit Photographer Saboru-kun is streaming on the Youtube channel of Shonen Jump. It is a new one-shot from the creators of The Promised Neverland.
Some other up and coming mangas also had their first chapters adapted into voice comics. Mission: Yozakura Family and Sakamoto Days have already received voice adaptations.
The voice actors who are working for these adaptations are mostly new seiyus. It is also a good chance for them to work in the voice acting area.
Voice comic/manga is a new promotional technique by Shonen Jump which will lead to more readers who will get interested in manga.
The sales of Jump has been decreasing over the past few years and the manga industry has taken a hit due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
