Manga is the most significant source that generates anime adaptations. Most popular animes, including the Big 3 (Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach), were published mangas before they received their animes.
It is not uncommon for popular mangas to receive spin-off series, like Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals, Salaryman Exorcist: The Sorrows of Okumura Yukio and Rock Lee’s Springtime of Youth.
These spin-offs usually get published in dedicated magazines. Jump GIGA is one such magazine that is a sister magazine to the Weekly Shonen Jump which publishes spin-offs from Weekly Shonen Jump, one-shots, and short stories along with promotional material for series currently running in Shonen Jump.
