Frieren, Fern and Stark try their best to convince Sein to join their party as a priest and become an adventurer like he always wanted. However, something is stopping him. Here are the latest updates.

2. Episode 14 Speculation
Frieren, Fern, and Stark are now joined by Sein, who is a priest. This new group now resumes their journey to Heaven. However, Sein has his own motives for travelling with them. We will learn more about how he fits in as the fourth member.
Since they have a priest with them now, they can take bigger risks than before. The group will keep moving forward as new dynamics are being formed and discovered.
3. Recap of episode 13
Episode 13 of ‘Sousou no Frieren’ is titled “Aversion To One’s Own Kind.” Frieren runs into a strange man while picking up herbs in a forest. He tells her his entire life story while sinking into a bottomless swamp. While Frieren still decides whether to help him, Fern finds them.
Frieren, Fern and Stark drop the man off safely, and he warns them about dangerous creatures lurking around. The trio resumes their journey to find a big town to refill their supplies. However, Stark gets bitten by something, and his nose starts bleeding. Neither Fern nor Frieren are good with priest spells, so they take Stark back to the village to get him checked.
The man Frieren saved earlier, Sein, looks at Stark’s injury and heals him. Sein’s older brother knew Frieren as Heiter told him about her. The older brother is a provincial priest, but Sein’s abilities surpass his by a mile. Sein’s dream was to be an adventurer, but he is reduced to living a boring life in his village.
Sein’s older brother requests Frieren to take Sein along with them. Stark invites Sein to a gambling round with him and the villagers. If Stark wins, Sein will join their party as a priest.
Fern hears Stark screaming in the middle of the night and rushes to check on him with Frieren. They find both Stark and Sein stripped down to almost nothing as they lose all their belongings while gambling. Sein tells them to find another priest, as it’s too late for him to become an adventurer.
Frieren is reminded of her encounter with Himmel and how she thought it was too late. She repeats what Himmel told her back then, that she is talking about the present. Frieren does not like Sein, which makes her all the more adamant in getting him to join. Fern gets both Stark’s and Sein’s belongings back.
The trio stays in the village and tries to recruit Sein every day. They find out from his brother that Sein likes older women. Frieren, an elf, is naturally older and tries seducing Sein using her master’s technique. It has no effect on Sein, but both Stark and Fern are flustered. Fern is reminded of when this move knocked Himmel out cold.
Sein refuses to join them as he cannot leave his brother behind. When Heiter came to their village to recruit Sein’s older brother, he refused to leave because of Sein. This is also why Sein cannot leave either, but this enrages his brother because, unlike Sein, he has never regretted his decision.
Sein decides to join the trio as an adventurer. He needs to find his friend who left ten years ago. He will travel with them partway until he finds his friend. They leave the village and resume their journey.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a manga by Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. It was launched in April 2020, and went on to win several prizes.
The story starts when a group of heroes come back home after defeating a demon. Frieren, an elf mage, has hundreds of years ahead of her due to her long lifespan.
She is destined to lose all her friends and comrades eventually. However, at the funeral of one of her past comrades, she realizes that she has a new adventure ahead of her.
