Episode 11 of ‘Sousou no Frieren’ is titled “Winter in the Northern Lands.” After defeating Aura, Frieren is pardoned by the Graf, and the trio’s victory is celebrated. Graf Granat is very grateful to them. The trio leaves town and sets off on their journey.

2. Episode 12 Speculation
Frieren, Fern, and Stark have decided to travel to the Northern Plateaus. However, to travel, the adventurers must have at least one first-class mage. Even though Frieren is strong, if she does not have the certification from the Continental Magic Association acknowledging her, they will not be allowed to travel.
An exam is being conducted on their way to the Plateaus, so Frieren must participate to earn the certificate. However, we do not know how Frieren feels about Himmel’s apparent death. We might find out more about her feelings and thoughts as well.
3. Recap of episode 11
After defeating Aura in episode 10 of Sousou no Frieren, Fern finds Frieren praying for the peace of all the dead soldiers. Stark comes to the battlefield with Graf. Frieren immediately starts running away, but Stark reveals that she is pardoned.
Fern mentions how Himmel trained Frieren properly. Frieren tells Stark and Fern that she is proud of them for defeating Lugner and his henchmen. Graf is extremely grateful to Frieren and promises to give her whatever she wants.
Frieren asks for the defensive barrier grimoire by Flamme. However, the grimoire is fake, and the defensive spell described in it is not of use. Despite that, Frieren still wants it. Frieren, Fern, and Stark stay in the town for a while. Stark gets his wounds checked, and Fern helps around town.
The trio befriends the townsfolk and enjoy their days of rest. They pay respect to all the soldiers who were a part of Aura’s army. Finally, the day of their departure comes. Graf accompanies them until the gate. He explains that for traveling, the adventurers must be accompanied by a first-class mage.
Fern shows her third-class mage certificate, explaining that she got it from the Continental Magic Association. Frieren did not know of its existence. First-class mage exams will take place soon. They will figure out this problem before entering the Northern Plateaus.
Frieren warns Fern and Stark about the northern winters. They get lost in the snowy mountains. Stark faints in the cold. Fern carries him as Frieren tries to find shelter. They run into another elf in the shelter, who is exercising to keep himself warm. He introduces himself as Kraft the Monk. Fern wraps Stark in a warm blanket, but he keeps getting colder.
Stark wakes up in Kraft’s arms and freaks out. He quickly switches to admiring Kraft’s body after looking at him properly. Stark thinks this must mean that Kraft trained hard. Kraft tells Stark to rest while he goes with Fern and Frieren to get food.
They decide to take shelter until the weather calms down. They eat, talk, train, and explore together throughout the winter. Frieren and Kraft talk about the existence of the Goddess. Frieren does not believe that she exists. However, Kraft wants her to exist because everyone who knew of his triumphs has passed away.
Kraft wants to go to heaven and meet her so she will praise him. He wants his efforts to be acknowledged. He tells Frieren that since she does not believe in the Goddess, he will praise her instead. Frieren is reminded of the past when the Priest asked her if she had someone who would praise her.
Frieren passes Kraft’s offer as she already has been praised. Kraft tells her to cherish them. However, Frieren was referring to Himmel, who is in heaven now. The trio and Kraft part ways to travel on their own paths.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a manga by Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. It was launched in April 2020, and went on to win several prizes.
The story starts when a group of heroes come back home after defeating a demon. Frieren, an elf mage, has hundreds of years ahead of her due to her long lifespan.
She is destined to lose all her friends and comrades eventually. However, at the funeral of one of her past comrades, she realizes that she has a new adventure ahead of her.
