Released in 2015, ‘Sound! Euphonium’ is a music anime that is not about the music itself, but about how an aspiring musician sheds her anxieties and becomes aware of the world that surrounds her.
After years of waiting, the franchise finally revealed the anime’s third season, with the main lead Kumiko as a third-year student. Unfortunately, no other information has been disclosed about the release date.
‘Sound! Euphonium’ Season 3 revealed a new visual featuring Kumiko along with an April 2024 premiere date. Kyoto Animation is working on the sequel which will focus on Kumiko’s third year and carry on from the ‘Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble movie,’ which premiered in Japan on August 4.
The video previews Kumiko holding a shining and impressive euphonium as she’s about to go on stage to perform.
In the visual, we see Kumiko’s character design as she approaches her third year in high school. Also, the visual’s tagline reads, ‘I love Kitauji.’
As for the staff and cast, no information was revealed, but we can expect the main team from the previous seasons to return once again for season 3 of the series.
The journey of Kumiko is nearing its end as she becomes a third-year student and the president of her club. If anything, this season is a closure for all of its fans, and I hope they make it a memorable one.
