With expectations riding high and The Book of Boba Fett’s social media team continuing to raise enthusiasm, the audience finally has a first official look at Sophie Thatcher’s character.
The newly released trailer shows similar scenes of Boba Fett fighting alongside the sharp-shooting assassin, Fennec Shand. Fans are looking forward to both characters’ revival in the spin-off, as they quickly became one of the most beloved Star Wars characters.
The trailer, however, shows a whole new but mysterious character played by Sophie Thatcher. In anime-style action sequences, the brown-haired, thick eyeliner, biker-jacket wearing Thatcher arrives in an extraordinary way speeding on a blue bike. She also seems to sport a mechanical arm.
Not much is still known about the character, though. If we go by The Illuminerdi’s reports, the American actress was roped in to play Drash, a street crew member.
The reports also described the character as “cool” and “self-assured.” Looking at the mini-second introductory scene, she sure does come across as an incredible person.
The American actress signed on The Mandalorian universe back in November 2020, but the company made sure to divulge no details. The same can be seen with her character too.
Meanwhile, the trailer also shows the struggle of Fennec and Boba fighting to take the territory of Tatooine. In one of the ending scenes, they seem successful too, as Boba declares,
I’m not the bounty hunter. I’m the crime lord now.
A spin-off series based on The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, as the name suggests, focuses on the bounty hunter on his way to becoming the crime lord of Tatooine, Boba Fett.
Boba was the bounty hunter who cheated death and returned alive in the Dark Empire comics. He was revived in The Mandalorian season 2, along with mercenary Fennec.
The Book of Boba Fett will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus on December 29.
