The joystick head and its distance from the base is also customizable. Its position is variable and can be locked in for ease of gameplay. Three different stick caps are available as well.

The base of the controller also features 4 x 3.5mm AUX ports. This is meant for third-party sticks and accessories combined with the Access Controller.

Users also have the option of combining it with other PS5 controllers. Sony mentioned in the release trailer that users can sync up to two PS5 Access Controllers and one PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller to form a single cohesive system.

The Access Controller is flat on a surface and compatible with a standard AMPS patterned mount. The circular shape of the PS5 Access Controller means that it lives up to its name to give truly 360-degree access based on the user’s preference.

This will be an exciting addition to the PlayStation 5 gaming environment and help those with a physical disability. Sony ensures that physical disability does not get in the way of truly enjoying a game.
