Earlier in the episode, everyone was teleported back to their original world for a moment when Nagara dived into the pitch-black water from a cliff.
Later, Ace challenged Nagara for a baseball match and won. Nagara figured out that the umpire of the story was actually the protagonist who got tired of the unfair rules of the game and became an umpire to fix it.

Episode 5 Preview & Speculation
Ace is the direct analogy for Blue in the story. It looks like he taught the monkeys how to play baseball to re-establish himself in the unique position, as his skills don’t matter in this new world. That also explains why he was so desperate to return to the original world.
The reveal at the end with the teacher showing up was entirely unexpected. I wonder what turn the story will take next, now that an adult who was formerly a figure of authority has arrived.
The kids had to work out their social structure when it was just them who were stranded. Now that an adult has arrived into the frame, she might disturb that balance of the group they have had so far.
Furthermore, Nagara’s dimension-hopping ability pretty much confirms that he was the one who brought them all to this other world. But we still don’t know how some of the students got their powers and hope the mysteries will be solved in the next episode.

Episode 5 Release Date
Episode 5 of the Sonny Boy (2021) anime has been released on Friday, Aug 13, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

Episode 4 Recap
Nozomi dives into the pitch-black water from a cliff while the other students cheer for her. When Nagara dives after her, everyone gets teleported back to the original world for a moment until they return.
Asaka keeps thinking about the monkey he spotted when teleported back to the school. On the other hand, Rajdhani tells Nagara that the pieces are starting to come together, but they still have a lot to figure out.
Later, the students enjoy playing basketball together and hear the voices of monkeys. Cap tells everyone about the ‘Monkey League’ and states that they can see the monkeys playing basketball with special gear.
Nozomi and Mizuho ask the other team to let them borrow the ‘Monkey Getter’ so they can watch the monkey league. Ace agrees to lend them the gadget if Nagara defeats him in a baseball match.
While walking through a jungle, Cap tells them the story of a monkey named Blue, who was the star of the monkey league. Once when Blue walked off a game due to some disputes with the umpire, the spectators tore the umpire’s body as they couldn’t accept Blue’s defeat.
The following day, Nagara plays against the other team. He suddenly sees a monkey lying down on the pitch, injured. He realizes that the monkey is the umpire who was drawn to the unfairness of the game, so he chose to become an umpire.
On the last day at the island, everyone packs up their stuff and waits at the beach. Nagara arrives and closes his eyes to teleport everyone back to their world. But after many failed attempts, he realizes that he cannot choose where he goes.
In the end, the students get back to the island and spot one of their teachers. Everyone’s face lights up, thinking she is here to save them until the teacher yells at them to stop playing around.
