Sung Jinwoo and his team are now trapped in the high-level dungeon arena. The statues slowly kill each team member, leaving the rest hopeless. However, this may be the moment where Sung receives his power awakening.

Being the weakest hunter of mankind, Sung does not have any inherent ability. Thus, Sung may awaken it at death’s door or be gifted the strength from the ancient dungeon. The inscriptions on the wall could lead to this power-up if Sung manages to read it.

A group of adventures take formation against an invading horde of red ants. However, the front lines are nearly entirely obliterated due to the level difference. Luckily, the S-Rank Hunters show up just in time to take out all the ants and heal the wounded.

The essence stones collected from high-ranked monsters can transform into potent weapons. After the initial raid, the group notices a cave leading further down the dungeon. The standard procedure is to wait for the Hunter Association, but most hunters want to continue searching for more loot.

After a vote, the group decides to walk down the cave while Joohee berates Sung for putting himself in more danger. Eventually, the team reaches a massive dungeon door, and Song steps up to open it. The team wanders into an ancient arena filled with giant statues, magic circles, and inscriptions.

The magic door shuts by itself, and the statue instantly kills anyone moving toward it. The larger statue fires a giant fire blast that incinerates the hunters. Sung looks around and realizes that this is where they will all die.
