Solo Leveling Chapter 117: Release Date, Discussion, Read Online

Season 2 of the Solo Leveling manhwa came out recently, with both chapter 111 and 112 releasing simultaneously.

The manhwa is moving forward with the Necromancer arc from the light novel.

For those of you who don’t know much about it, without spoiling much for you guys, let me just say that we will finally get to know more about Sung Jin-Woo’s mysterious abilities and the ‘system’ which helps the hunter do so.

Pretty cool, right? Trust me; you have no idea! In chapters 111 and 112, we saw that Hunter Woo is still as strong as ever and will be moving forward with his guild.

In chapter 116, we saw Sung Jin-Woo agreeing to a joint raid with the Knights guild and a rogue gate appearing in a high school. Now it’s time to discuss what would happen in Solo Leveling 117.

1. Chapter 117 Raw Scans

Raw scans for Chapter 117 of the Solo Leveling manhwa have not yet been released.

These scans usually surface on the internet 2-3 days before the weekly release day, i.e., Thursday. The scans will probably be released by September 1, so be sure to check back!

2. Chapter 117 Predictions & Speculation

Solo Leveling season 2 began with the Necromancer arc from the light novel.

It’s a light novel manhwa, so there is an anticipation that it will showcase the storyline of National-Level Hunters and the true identity of the ‘system.’

As for the next chapter, there are a couple of things that could happen or be revealed. Let’s begin the discussion!

I. Will Cha Hae-In join the guild?

Now that Hunter Cha has put forward her feelings for Jin-Woo, he knows that she’s not here on the orders of her former guild master or Hunter Association’s chairman.

In addition to this, Hunter Cha has also shown her ability as S-ranked Hunter by defeating Igris and standing up to Beru.

If you ask me, no one is a better fit to be the vice-President of Jin-Woo’s guild other than Hunter Cha Hae-In.

II. What did the lady saw in Woo?

We are yet to understand what the lady saw that made her so fearful. She likely saw the system’s true identity – the mysterious Shadow Monarch, Ashborn.

3. Chapter 117 Release Date

Chapter 117 of the Solo Leveling manhwa webtoon’s season 2 has been available to stream for free since Thursday, Sep 24, 2020.

In the next chapter, we will see more on the gate that appeared in Jin-Ah’s school.

4. Is Solo Leveling on a Break?

Solo Leveling manhwa went on a long break after its first season ended with chapter 110, and Season 2 came back with Chapters 111 and 112 on August 1, 2020.

Seeing how chapter 114 came right on time makes it unlikely that the webtoon will go on a break any soon.

The chapter starts with a couple of hunters from the Knights guild talking with each other about a gate, followed by Sung Jin-Woo talking to his ‘friend’ back at the Ahjin guild headquarters.

The Knight guild hunters also arrive at the headquarters and talk to Jin-Woo about a massive A-ranked gate. The scene then shifts to the scene where the gate appeared; the Knight guild members are waiting for Jin-Woo, and the scene shifts again!!!

Yet another gate has opened and that too in the middle of a school. An orc hand appears out of the gate and crushes the skull of a student standing there – I guess that this is the school where Jin-Woo’s sister goes.

7. About Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling is a South Korean novel written by Chu-Gong; it was serialized in Papyrus and later in KakaoPage and concluded with 14 volumes and 270 chapters.

Since a portal connecting our world to a world full of monsters and creatures of all kinds appeared, some people have acquired powers and hunt them: they are called hunters.

Sung Jin-Woo is the weakest of the rank E hunters and barely stronger than a normal human.

One day, he and other hunters find themselves trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, and only a few of them survive and manage to escape.

Sung Jin-Woo himself hardly survives and is the only one who completes all the trials in this dungeon. Thus, he begins his journey of becoming the most powerful hunter!
