New Poster of The Boys S3 Shows the Payback Team in All Its Glory

The Payback team with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy and partner superheroes finally take center stage in a new poster for The Boys Season 3.

Soldier Boy takes center stage in the sketched, retro-styled poster, with Black Noir, Mindstorm, TNT (Tommy & Tessa), Airburst, Holden’s Crimson Countess, and Gunpowder.

The new Supe team is not the only thing that was released. There will be a new trailer for Soldier Boy and his team.

As The CW dropped the poster without any information, the caption only states that it “may or may not make more sense” when they release a trailer on Monday.

Take a look at the poster below:

The illustrated poster also makes one think that it might be a parody movie poster of the Supe team.

It will be exciting to see what The Boys Season 3 will hold as Soldier Boy enters the story right at the time of the most awaited yet controversial moment storyline—the Herogasm event.

The previous trailer for The Boys Season 3 was gory, crazy, satirical, and had plain dark content that the comics (and the series) are known for.

Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher, shared in an interview that the new season is “batsh*t crazy” and after watching the trailer, one can’t help but confirm the same.

Developed by Eric Kripke, the series takes a slightly different turn than the comics. One reason for it can be attributed to the extreme violence, gore, and downright gross incidents in the comics.

Though the show refrained from some, it does have its own share of unpalatable scenes—more so in the upcoming season.

Moreover, the audiences are especially looking forward to Supernatural superstar Jensen Ackles’ transformation.

Soldier Boy is the Captain America equivalent in The Boys universe, and it will be exciting to see him in a completely different (and hairy) avatar!

Meet the new Supes in The Boys Season 3 on June 3.

About The Boys

The Boys is an American satirical superhero streaming television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which was originally published by DC Comics under their Wildstorm imprint before moving to Dynamite Entertainment, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.

The show is a satirical take on the superhero genre and showcases a world where superheroes are corporatized and controlled by companies. What happens when these superheroes step out of line and rub some boys the wrong way, is the story.
