Zack Snyder’s Justice League is seriously beefing up Batman’s preparedness for battle with upgraded tech and armor, and that’s the best way to use him in the film.
The Snyder Cut has evolved as a Hollywood icon for the history books, going from the mythological relic of a big-screen superhero movie bomb to arguably the most awaited movie in the immediate future. Scheduled to release on HBO Max on March 18, the film’s marketing theme has already exhibited a stark distinction between the two editions of Justice League.
The fresh trailer shows how Batman is being boosted to take on Apokolips’ forces in the film.
However, Batman isn’t provided superpowers for the Snyder Cut. Still, he is shown to be loading an arsenal of weaponry and vehicles that will facilitate him to battle the Apokoliptian invaders directly. The most significant illustration seen in the new trailer is of Batman’s tank, pulled right out of The Dark Knight Returns.
The heavily armored tank lends Batman a potent weapon with which to stave off Parademons. One part of the trailer also discloses that Batman is standing his ground against the alien invaders.
Mostly, Batman is seen averting projectile assaults with his wrist gauntlets and was also briefly sighted doing so in the first trailer published during DC FanDome. These clues indicate that Batman is not only loading some severe firepower to face the army of Apokolips, but he’s also evidently made some crucial upgrades to his armor since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. No doubt, nothing makes more sense when it comes to the Caped Crusader.
Having formerly combated the Man of Steel himself in Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne went into the fight fully equipped with a strong suit of armor (derived from The Dark Knight Returns). Batman couldn’t foresee facing Doomsday soon after, which left him mainly on the sidelines until he temporarily paralyzed the rampaging Kryptonian beast with his last Kryptonite pellet.
Being a brilliant superhero and realizing that an invasion was on the way, it’s nothing but evident that Batman would bring in the essential artillery and make the expected transformations to his suit. A stunt video for the movie shows a practice of Batman battling a Parademon single-handedly.
An image published by Zack Snyder showing Batman putting an opponent’s head through a brick wall could indicate another Batman fight at the level of the Batman vs Superman warehouse smackdown. Having already encountered two superpowered aliens, Batman indeed intends to level the playing field this time.
